Drapery is what gives a room scale, softness, and a sense that it was actually designed. The difference between ready-made curtains and true custom drapery is visible from across the room: the right fullness, the right break at the floor, a heading that hangs correctly, and fabric chosen for your light. We fabricate every panel in our Brooklyn workroom to your exact measurements.
Why made-to-measure wins
New York windows are rarely standard — prewar buildings run nine and a half to eleven feet, new construction brings floor-to-ceiling glass, and almost nothing is perfectly square. Ready-made panels force the room to fit the curtain. Custom does the opposite. We pattern to your opening, choose fullness for the fabric, and finish the break at the floor the way you want it, from a crisp kiss to a soft puddle.
Floor-to-ceiling drapery makes a ceiling read taller and a window read grander. On the right wall it is the single most transformative thing we do.

Fabric is the whole decision
We order from over 26 designers and bring samples into your actual space, because a fabric that reads warm ivory in a showroom can go cool grey against north light. We look at weight, drape, and how a fabric will age in your sun exposure — Belgian linen and quality linen-cotton blends hold up beautifully, while pure silk is extraordinary but fades fast in western sun, so we use it in low-sun rooms only and tell you upfront.
Layering and motorization
Drapery layers beautifully with shades — a soft linen panel over a motorized blackout roller is one of the most requested combinations we do, giving you complete light control and a finished, dressed window. Drapery itself can be motorized on a Somfy track for wide spans and tall windows.
