Dumbo is defined by big windows: converted warehouse lofts with tall industrial sashes and new towers with sweeping glass facing the bridges and the river. These are large, often hard-to-reach openings with dramatic light, which makes them the perfect case for motorization.
Loft and warehouse-conversion windows
The original industrial windows in Dumbo's converted buildings are tall, wide, and architectural. We dress them in ways that respect the loft aesthetic, clean roller and solar shades, simple tailored panels, rather than fussy treatments that fight the space.
In a Dumbo loft, the window is part of the architecture. The treatment should disappear until you need it.

Why motorization wins here
Oversized and high windows are exactly where reaching a cord is impractical. Motorized Somfy shades, controlled by remote, app, or schedule, are the difference between a shade you actually use and one you ignore. Solar shades tame the river-reflected glare without losing the view.
Local fabrication
Our Brooklyn workroom is close by, so even the large, custom-sized treatments Dumbo needs are handled with easy scheduling and our own install team.
